Ollie "Kate" Reed (8-12-11) services 8-16-11

Ollie "Kate" Reed, 89, of Savannah, died Friday, Aug. 12.

She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Bain and Margaret Hitchcock Robertson. She was united in marriage to James Lonnie Reed, who preceded her in death.

Services were held on Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Robert Howse officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery at Hardin County.

She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Russell of Savannah; three sons, James R. Reed of Elkhart, Ind., Donnie Ray and Monte Allen Reed, both of Savannah; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Mary Wood; a son, David Lee Reed; three brothers, Andrew, Oscar B., and Guy Robertson; two sisters, Mae Gravett and Florence Hitchcock.
