Charles Lambert

Charles Lambert, 80, of Savannah, died Wednesday, July 27, in Savannah.

He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Hubert Clive and Verdie Alice Hutton Lambert. He was united in marriage to Wilma Austin, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Lambert was a self-employed farmer, logger and sawmill operator. He was a member of Walnut Grove Church of Christ.

Services were held on Saturday, July 30, at Walnut Grove Church of Christ in Savannah with Howard Rogers, David Dowdy officiating. Burial followed in the Walnut Grove Cemetery at Savannah.

He is survived by three daughters, Judy Pollard of Savannah, Lois Franks of Savannah and Margaret Doss of Pickwick Dam; two sons, Rayford Lambert of Bolivar, Tenn. and Dennis Lambert of Savannah; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Huberta Allen of Savannah, Geneva Watson of Savannah, Ginger Russell of Savannah and Linda Graves of Fenton, Mich.; six brothers, Alton, Rayburn, Mac, Tommy and Jimmy Lambert, all of Savannah, and Jack Lambert of Vinemont, Ala.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Lou Hazel Blagg; one brother, Johnny Lambert; and one great-grandchild.
