Katie Qualls Schlichting

Katie Qualls Schlichting was born in Hardin County, on May 13, 1936, the daughter of the late Jim Tom and Rachel Lorene Alexander Qualls.

She was united in marriage to William Schlichting, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Schlichting was a member of the Holland’s Creek Community. She loved to be around people to love and be loved. She was a giving person.

Mrs. Schlichting departed this life on Saturday, July 16, at the age of 75 years, 2 months, 3 days.

She is survived by three sisters, Annie Pearl Ward of Adamsville, Dorssey Mae Smith and Barbara Sue Baskins both of Savannah.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald, Lloyd, Ralph, James and Travis Qualls.

Services were held on Tuesday, July 19, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with John Robinson officiating. Burial followed in the Hollands Creek Cemetery at Hardin County, Tenn.
