Robert Riggan (7-7-11) services 7-9-11

Robert Riggan, 89, of Savannah, died Thursday, July 7.

He was born in Senatobia, Miss., the son of the late Robert Clarence Sr. and Hettie Ridings Riggan. He was united in marriage to Nancy Belle Haynes, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Riggan retired from TVA as a machinist foreman. He had served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church; Mason, Scottish Rite, Eastern Star, Shriners, Machinist Union and VFW.

Mr. Riggan was buried at midnight on Saturday, July 9, in the Memory Gardens of Hardin County.

He is survived by two daughters, Ann Hill of Fayetteville, Ga., Joyce Allen of Memphis; two sons, Bob Riggan of Savannah and Sam Riggan of Memphis; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
