Irene B. Nixon, 91, of Palm Beach, Fla., formerly of Saltillo, died Monday, June 20.
She was born in Bath Springs, Tenn. She was united in marriage to David Nixon, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Nixon worked as a secretary. While in West Palm Beach, she worked for Wood and Cobb and for attorney John Stetson. She was president of the Palm Beach Chapter of the Professional Secretaries International and was their “Secretary of the Year” in 1990.
Services were held on Saturday, June 25, at Shackelford Chapel in Adamsville with Toni Watson officiating. Burial followed in the Shiloh National Park Cemetery at Shiloh.
She is survived by her daughter, Darleen Maenche of Greenacres, Fla.; son, David Nixon stationed in Belgium; two grandsons; two brothers, Raymond Butler of Adamsville, Gene Butler of Morris Chapel; five great-grandchildren.
