Flora Reaves

Flora Reaves, 104, of Savannah, died Monday, June 20, at Savannah Health Care Center.

She was born in Wayne County, the daughter of the late Joe and Sally Horton Sherrills. She was united in marriage to Dewey Reaves, who preceded his wife in death.

Mrs. Reaves was a homemaker. She was a member of Hardin’s Graveyard Solitude Church and last attended Adamsville Freewill Baptist Church.

Services were held on Thursday, June 23, at Cromwell Crossroads Community Church in Wayne County, with Greg Eaton, Marvin Morrow officiating. Burial followed in the Cromwell Crossroads Cemetery at Wayne County.

She is survived by five sons, James of Collinwood, Luther of Florence, Ala., Jim of Bethel Springs, Clifton of Henderson, Tenn. and Cliff Reaves of Crump; three daughters, Sue Willard of Adamsville, Maudie Harris of Cape Canaveral, Fla. and Jean Cates of Crump; 26 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 43 great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Lurie Gibson and Hazel Smith; one son, Arlie Reaves; five infants; one brother, Clay Sherrills; four sisters, Maudie Horton, Vie Reaves, Fannie Wright and Leona Henson; one infant brother; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren
