Lacy Burgess (6-5-11) services 6-12-11

Lacy Mae Grooms Burgess, 87, of Savannah, died Sunday, June 5, at Hardin Home in Savannah.

A native of Sevier County, Tenn., she was a homemaker, and member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church . Her parents were the late James Isaac Grooms and Lucinda Shultz Grooms.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tenn., where the family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, June 11. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 3 p.m., Sunday, June 12, with Jimmy H. Davis and Mickey Brackin officiating. Burial will be held at Lindsey Grove Cemetery in Lawrence County, Tenn.

She is survived by two daughters, Frances Davis of Savannah, June Thomas of Leoma, Tenn.; two sisters, Elsie Butler of Atlanta, Ga., Clara Grooms of Savannah; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; several step-grand and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Wiley Burgess;one daughter, Kathy E. Burgess; one grandchild; one step-son, Tom Burgess; several brothers and sisters.
