Bertha McCasland (5-27-11) services 6-1-11

Bertha McCasland, 76, of Portageville, Mo., died Friday, May 27, in Missouri.

She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late John and Rosie Worley Carroll. She was united in marriage to Andy Irvin McCasland, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. McCasland was a homemaker and a member of Mt. View Church of Christ.

Services were held on Wednesday, June 1, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Howard Rogers officiating. Burial was in the Mountain View Cemetery at Hardin County.

She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Pate of Gosnell, Ark. and Wanda Matlock of Portageville, Mo.; one son, Josh McCasland of Portageville, Mo.; six granchildren and 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Ferrell of Savannah and Faye White of Granite City, Ill.

She was also preceded in death by one grandchild; and nine brothers and sisters.
