Mary Frances Melson
Mary Frances Melson, 89, of Savannah, died Sunday, April 24.
She was born in Michie, the daughter of the late John William and Maggie T. Voyles Smith. She was united in marriage to Johnny David Melson, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Melson was a housewife and a member of the First Baptist Church in Savannah.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 28, at 11 a.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah. Burial will follow in the Savannah Cemetery.
She is survived by a son, Jerry Melson of Santa Maria, Calif.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sherrie Lei Melson; seven sisters, Hazel Lancaster, Jewel Parker, Ruby Hurley, Mamie Jones, Eunice Glidewell, Louise Melson and Nema Childers; two brothers, Hubert Smith and Johnny Smith.
