Berta Davidson (5-12-11) services 5-15-11

Berta McCasland Davidson, 94, of Clifton, died Thursday, May 12.

She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Irvin Sylvester and Mendia McDonald McCasland. She was united in marriage to John Walker Davidson, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Davidson was an inspector at Clifton Manufacturing Company for 15 years. She was a member of the Mt. View Church of Christ.

Services were held on Sunday, May 15, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Tracy Love officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery at Hardin County.

She is survived by two sons, Bob and Roy Davidson, both of Savannah; three daughters, Betty Reaves of Savannah, Helen Hickox of Burnsville, Miss., and Norma Stricklin of Collierville, Tenn.; a sister, Elma Love of Savannah; 18 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Andy Lloyd and John Walker Davidson Jr.; a daughter, Mendia Elnora Creekpaum; a sister, Lizzie Davidson; six brothers, Edgar, Paul, Earl, Melrose, Andy and Sidney McCasland.
