James Earl "Bo" Hopper

James Earl "Bo" Hopper was born in Savannah, on March 8, 1959, the son of the late William Hopper, Jr. and Emma Lee Harville Davison.

Mr. Hopper was a retired logger and skitter driver. He enjoyed horses, rodeos and being with his family and friends.

Mr. Hopper departed this life on Sunday, May 8, in Jackson, Tenn., at the age of 52 years and 2 months.

He is survived by one son, James Earl Hopper Jr. and his wife Dana of Savannah; one stepson, Bradley William Funderburk and his wife Brandey of Savannah; two grandchildren, James Lee Hopper and Keith Russell Jerrolds and one step grandchild, Levi Funderburk; three sisters, Janice Hopper Ward and Emma (Midge) Hughes, both of Savannah, and Amanda Ann Chilcutt of Crump. Mr. Hopper is also survived by his fiancée, Marie Dickerson of Savannah.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Carol Hopper, one brother, William Danny Hopper and his grandparents, Osby and Dora Harville and William and Zettie Hopper.

Services will be held on Thursday, May 12, at 11 a.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Steve Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in the Neill Cemetery at Savannah.
