Kennie Russell Jr. (4-5-11) services 4-8-11

Kennie Russell Jr., 56, of Savannah, died Tuesday, April 5.

He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Kennie Sr. and Minnie Mae Love Russell. He was united in marriage to Sherry Welch, who survives.

Mr. Russell was self-employed with Russell Bros. Masonry. He had previously worked for Clifton Manufacturing and Garan’s. He was a member of the Mountain View Church of Christ.

Services were held on Friday, April 8, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Joe Paul Bryant, Tracy Love officiating. Burial was in the Goshen Cemetery at Hardin County.

In addition to his wife, Sherry of Savannah, he is survived by two daughters, April Russell, Shelley Benson, both of Savannah; a son, Kennie (Ken) Russell III of Savannah; five grandchildren; six sisters, Janiece Prince, Connie Bain, Carmin Durbin, all of Savannah, Linda McFall of Waterloo, Ala., Robbie Chase, Shelia Ray, all of Clifton; two brothers, Harold and Keith Russell, both of Savannah.
