Annette Haggard

Annette Renee Nutt Haggard of Waynesboro was born Jan. 8, 1963, in Savannah, the daughter of Donald Gene and Linda Ann Warren Nutt.

She was united in marriage to James A. Haggard on May 5, 1978.

Mrs. Haggard was a retired academic career counselor with the Wayne County Board of Education and had worked with the Ayers Foundation in Parson, Tenn., as a career counselor. She was a member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church in Waynesboro.

Mrs. Haggard departed this life on Friday, April 8, at Wayne Medical Center Waynesboro, at the age of 48 years, 3 months after an extended illness.

She is survived by her husband, James A. Haggard; a son, Garrett Haggard and wife, Ashlee; a daughter, Amber Haggard; her grandchildren, Kaylee Haggard, Kinsley Miller, Makohl Haggard and Madden Haggard; her parents, Donald Gene and Linda Ann Warren Nutt; her grandmother, Pauline Warren Pope, all of Waynesboro.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Herman and Goldie Nutt and Roy Lee Warren; her step-grandfather, Hiluard Pope; and a special cousin, Brian Skelton.

Services were held on Sunday, April 10, at 1 p.m., at Philadelphia Baptist Church in Waynesboro with Bobby Pinckley, Craig Mason and Greg Eaton officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors directing.

Pallbearers were Jerry Davis, Willie Holder, Kyle Haggard, Jacob Bryant, Tony Morris, Ricky Warren, Alan Doran, Brandon Floyd and John Haggard.
