Della Cole (3-3-11) services 3-6-11

Della McDonald Cole, 88, of Waynesboro, died Thursday, March 3, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tenn.

She was born in Alexander County, Ill., the daughter of the late John Gilbert and Minnie Grace Schilling McDonald. She was united in marriage to Don H. Cole, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Cole was a retired sales clerk and a member of Wayne Furnace Church of Christ.

Services were held Sunday, March 6, at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro with Bobby Pinckley and Ronnie Pope officiating. Burial followed in J.R. Cole Cemetery near Waynesboro with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by sons, Roger Don Cole of Savannah and Leon Cole of Florence, Ala.; three grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild and two step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Glen McDonald of Vanburne, Ark.; sisters, Reba Waltrip of Jerseyville, Ill. and Berneice Burgess of Folsom, Calif.; several nieces and nephews.
