Amy Grisham

Amy Grisham, of Morris Chapel, was born in Henderson County, Tenn., on April 6, 1960, the daughter of the late Claude and Florence Joy Handwerker Powers.

On April 10, 1979, she was united in marriage to Tim Grisham, who survives.

Mrs. Grisham was an administrator for Park Rest Nursing Home until 2007. She was a member of House Of Mercy Church. Mrs. Grisham enjoyed shopping, traveling and 4-wheelers. She loved her family and her close friends.

Mrs. Grisham departed this life on Thursday, Feb. 24, at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, at the age of 50 years, 10 months and 18 days.

In addition to her husband, Tim of Morris Chapel, she is survived by one daughter, Jenny J. Allen and her husband Jason of Saltillo; two sons, Craig A. Barham and his wife Amber of Savannah and Pete Grisham of Savannah; three grandchildren, Claudia J. Allen, Cason L. Allen and Cambree C. Allen; one sister, Lorriane Hosea and her husband Tommy of Jackson, Tenn.; three brothers, Johnny Powers and his wife Mae of Savannah, Jimmy Powers and his wife Brenda of Lutts, and Anthony Powers and his wife Kristi of Saltillo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, O. Michael Powers and a sister, Claudia Powers Barham.

Services were held on Feb. 27, at 1 p.m., at House of Mercy Church in Morris Chapel with Dennis Moffett officiating. Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery at Hardin County.
