Minnie Adams (2-17-11) services 2-19-11

Minnie Rae Adams, 78, of Savannah, died Thursday, Feb. 17.

She was born in Tishomingo County, Miss., the daughter of the late George W. and Leanard Joslin McCain. She was united in marriage to Parker Adams, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Adams retired from Kimberly Clark and had worked for Garan Manufacturing in Adamsville for more than 20 years. She was a member of Pyburn Union Church.

Services were held on Saturday, Feb. 19, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Harry Nolen officiating. Burial was in the Pyburn Cemetery at Hardin County.

She is survived by two sons, Jimmy P. of Savannah and Stacy R. Adams of Pickwick; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild; a brother, George O’Neal McCain of Counce; a sister, Ann Cotner of Shiloh.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Leller Mae David.
