Pat "Pappy" Dale Sr. (2-11-11) services 2-14-11

Pat "Pappy" Dale Sr., 56, of Savannah, died Friday, Feb. 11.

He was born in Shreveport, La., the son of the late Cecil Floyd and Geneva June Wright Dale. He was united in marriage to Alice Henson, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Dale was a carpenter.

Services were held on Monday, Feb. 14, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Dennis McGarrity officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Hardin County.

He is survived by four sons, Frankie Stone of Oxford, Ala., Michael Stone, Patrick Dale Jr., Jason Dale, all of Savannah; two daughters, Angela Dale Russell of Pocahontas, Tenn., Melissa Dale Abels of Savannah; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Iona Becze of Schererville, Ind., Sarah Elliot of Cypress, Ill., Kathy Corn of Hendersonville, N.C.; three brothers, Richard of Gary, Ind., Lyle of Crossville, Tenn., Kenneth Dale of Shorewood, Ill.; a half-sister, Bonnie Wise of Council Bluff, Iowa; four half-brothers, Jack, David, both of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Thom of Flagstaff, Ariz., Cecil Dale of Persia, Iowa.
