Omega Sweat (1-26-11) services 1-29-11

Omega Sweat, 80, of Michie, died Wednesday, Jan. 26.

She was born in Michie, the daughter of the late Iven Washington and Nona Pyron White. She was united in marriage to Sammie Sweat, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Sweat had worked at Brown Shoe Company and Harwood Manufacturing Company. She was a member of the Landmark Pentecostal Church in Stantonville, Tenn.

Services were held on Saturday, Jan. 29, at Landmark Pentecostal Church in Adamsville with Darrell Moffett officiating. Burial was in the West Shiloh Cemetery at McNairy County.

She is survived by a son, Harlon Neal Sweat of Counce; one grandson; three sisters, Marie Byrd of Tupelo, Miss., Oberia Sowell and Virginia Goodwin, both of Shiloh; three brothers, Rayborn White of Parsons, Tenn., Roger White of Pigeon Forge, Tenn. and Phillip White of Dallas, Texas.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Tucker; three brothers, Gerald Junior, Bruce Earl and Charles Edward White Sr.; a half-sister, Ellen Cooksey; four half-brothers, Jake, Ray, J.W. and Paul White.
