Stevie Talley

Stevie Douglas Talley, age 53, was born Feb. 21, 1957, in Savannah, the son of the late Arch and Sue Bachuss Talley.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Talley was preceded in death by a brother, Arch Talley Jr.; and sister, Rebecca Sue Talley.

Mr. Talley died Sunday, Jan. 9, at his home in the Houston community. He was married to Lois Bratcher Jan. 29, 1980.

Mr. Talley, a disabled carpenter and sawmill worker, was a member of Mt. Calvary Full Gospel Church.

He is survived by his wife Lois Bratcher Talley of Collinwood, Tenn.; three daughters, Stephanie Staggs and husband Steven of Clifton, Jessica Clark of Waynesboro and Laura Bratcher and companion Steve Scott of Savannah; 12 grandchildren, Triston and Shalayna Bratcher, Ethan Moore, Ryan and Grant Scott, Kyle, Myles, and Toby Staggs, Dakota and Zachary Lowe, Kolby Crum, and Sarah Grace Conner; three brothers, Ander Talley and Tommy Talley, both of Adamsville, Dewayne Talley of Savannah; two sisters, Lesa Smith of Adamsville and Joanie Weirich of Gillis Mills, Tenn.

Services were held on Wednesday, Jan. 12, at 1 p.m., at Houston Baptist Church in Collinwood, with Jim Middleton officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Hebron Cemetery, Collinwood, Tenn., with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Waynesboro in charge of the arrangements.
