Estoyle Bevis

Estoyle Bevis, 82, of Savannah, died Thursday, Dec. 30, in Savannah.

She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Washington Lafayette and Etta Mable Abrams Parker. She was united in marriage to Arnold Forrest Bevis, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Bevis did the office work for Arnold Bevis Sawmill and she had also worked for Brown Shoe Company and Bevis Grocery. She was a member of Savannah Church of Christ.

Services were held on Saturday, Jan. 1, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Jim Chamblee, Howard Rogers officiating. Burial was in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.

She is survived by three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Chrystell Williams and Bettye Beckham, both of Savannah.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Libby Jerrolds; three sisters, Maxine Lee, Vernice Connor and Gayle Franks; and three brothers, Loyd, Ottie and Jimmy Parker.
