Margaret Whitten

Margaret Naomi Whitten, 77, of Savannah, died Thursday, Dec. 23.

She was born in Savannah, the daughter of the late Jessie and Lovie Morton Clement.

Mrs. Whitten retired from Angelica where she was a machine operator.

Services were held on Monday, Dec. 27, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with James Fitts officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery at Hardin County.

Mrs. Whitten is survived by three sons, Ronny Hunt of Houston, Texas, Jimmy Hunt of Savannah, and Stan Hunt of Hollow Rock, Tenn.; three sisters, Lou Ellen Rainey, Inez McCasland and Joyce Davis, all of Savannah; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Odell Hunt; second husband, Ernest Whitten; a son, Billy Hunt; two sisters, Velma Barlow and Belvie Harrison; two brothers, James and J.C. Clement; a grandson.
