Anna Jackie Jerrolds Anderson, age 88, of Frutia, Colo., passed away Nov. 14.

Jackie was born Oct. 4, 1922, in a log cabin on Boone Creek eight miles east of Savannah.

She was the daughter of Homer and Elizabeth McFalls Jerrolds.

Early in World War II, Jackie worked as a welder for the Defense Department. In 1942-1943 she helped build ships at the Lake Washington Shipyard of Seattle, Wash. At age 21, Jackie enlisted in the WAVES of the US Navy. She completed her training at Hunter College in New York and was stationed at the US Administration and Military Command Center, San Diego, Calif. Jackie was honorably discharged in July 1946. In 1949 she joined the US Naval Reserves and in 1950 was called back to active duty during the Korean War.

In 1953, Jackie married Gerald L. Anderson, a pilot and major in the Marine Corps.

Jackie’s husband and son, Glenn, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Lohmeyer, and two grandchildren.

She was buried in the Fort Collins Military Cemetery, Denver, Colo.
