Corinne Baugus

Corinne Baugus, 88, of Savannah, died Wednesday, Dec. 8.

She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late James Harvey and Gladys Gibbs Austin. She was united in marriage to Joe Baugus, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Baugus had worked for Savannah Manufacturing as a presser before retiring. She attended the Savannah Church of Christ.

Services were held on Friday, Dec. 10, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with David Highland officiating. Burial was in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.

She is survived by two sisters, Frankie Baugus and Grace Pickens, both of Savannah; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Smith and Ruth Copeland; a brother, Herman Austin.
