Jerry Austin Jerry Lyn Austin, 64, of Savannah, died Wednesday, Nov. 17. He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Gustie and Thelma Myrtle Qualls Austin. A graveside service was held on Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Holland’s Creek Cemetery in Hardin County, with James Clark officiating. He is survived by a brother, Hoover Austin of Savannah; two sisters, Virgie Franks of Savannah and Belle Jarrett of Morris Chapel. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Buster, Columbus, RC and LG Austin; and a sister, Barbara Ann Newton.
