Warren Franks

Warren G. Franks, 89, of Savannah, died Friday, Nov. 12, in Adamsville.

He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Henry Caywood and Nora May Franks. He was united in marriage to Blanche Norton, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Franks was a buyer and vice president of sales for House Hasson Hardware Company. He was a member of the Savannah Church of Christ. He had taught school at Halls High School, Halls Crossroads, Tenn. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II.

Services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 16, at Lynn Hurst Cemetery in Knoxville with Jim Chamblee, Sammy Franks officiating. Burial was in the Lynn Hurst Cemetery at Knoxville.

He is survived by two sisters, Robbie Hall and Mildred Sue Jones, both of Savannah.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Bessie Tharpe, Birdie Gillmore and Gladys Harmon; and nine brothers, Grandy, Samuel O’dell, Archie, William, Joe Hardin, Carmack, Kermit, Cardin and Lawerence Franks.
