Wanda Lee Swope

Wanda Lee Brashier Swope was born in Clifton, on Nov. 23, 1944, the daughter of Raymond and Lochie Pevahouse Brashier.

On Dec. 12, 1994, she was united in marriage to William L. Swope, Jr., who survives.

Mrs. Swope was a seamstress at H.I.S. and Tennessee Apparel in Waynesboro. She enjoyed riding 4-wheelers, fishing, cross-country trucking with her husband. She enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Swope had been a resident of Hardin County and Wayne County, and she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 28 in Savannah.

Mrs. Swope departed this life on Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the age of 65 years, 11 months, 17 days.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by two sons, Robert Bridges and wife Tina of Clifton, Barry Bridges and wife Tonya of Savannah; two daughters, Angie Free and husband Charles, Sabrina Swope and husband Danny, all of Clifton; 10 grandchildren, Shannon Nicole Boyd, Elijah James Bridges, James Jarrod Dicus, Brittany Josephine Bridges, Josiphene Stanfill, Charles Brian Free, Kasha Dawn Bridges, Kirby Deon Bridges, Arianne Gabriel Swope, and Leianne Swope; eight great-grandchildren, Thomas Free, Olivia Free, Chloe Stanfill, Brenlee Bridges, Madison Bridges, Zoe Grace Boyd, Marty Stanfill and Jacob Stanfill; a host of friends and relatives.

Mrs. Swope was preceded in death by her brother, Douglas Brashier. A graveside service was held on Friday, Nov. 12, at the Clifton Cemetery in Clifton with Bobbie Martin officiating.
