Susan Caroline Fohn was born in Sonoma, Calif., to Erwin S. Fohn and Carol J. Gregory Fohn.
She was raised in Glen Ellen, attending St. Francis Solano School and graduating Sonma Valley High School class of 1981.
Susan worked more than 18 years for the Sonoma Valley Unified School District as a driver of Bus 6. She was dearly loved by most of her students and watched many grow up. She was known as “Miss Susan” by all students and co-workers.
Susan died at home surrounded by her daughter and two friends, after a brave but short battle with cancer.
Susan was preceded in death by her father, Erwin Fohn; and step-father, John Gaber.
Susan is survived by her daughter, Catherine Cervantes; her brother, Christian E. Fohn (Julie) and children, Erik, Megan and Alora; her mother, Carol Gaber; aunt Colleen of Wyoming; cousins of Vallejo, as well as aunt Erna Fohn and many family members in Switzerland.
Susan was well-loved by many friends, being full of life and eager to serve others. She brought joy to all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
A service will be held in Olive Hill at the home of Chris and Julie Fohn, on Sunday, Nov. 21, at 3 p.m.
