Charles Edward Tidwell, 82, of Adamsville, died Monday, Oct. 18, at his residence.
He was son of the late George Claudus and Ulma Smith Tidwell. He was united in marriage to Christine Plunk, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Tidwell was a retired salesman for Long Wholesale Company. He was a member of Adamsville First United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the American Legion.
Services were held Friday, Oct. 22, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville with Steve Callicoatt officiating. Burial was in Adamsville Cemetery. Arrangements by Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer.
He is survived by two daughters, Myra Hazard of Adamsville and Mary Stoll of Kennesaw, Ga.; and five grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, G.C. and Harvey Tidwell.
