Lonnie Evans Lonnie Wilson Evans, 84, of Clifton, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, at the Hardin Medical Center. She was born in Wayne County, the daughter of the late Lewis Edward and Fannie Bell McMahan Wilson. She was united in marriage to James William Evans, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Evans retired after 30 years as a supervisor for Clifton Manufacturing. She also worked for Clinton Engineer Works in Oak Ridge, Tenn. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Methodist Church. Services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 12, at Mount Carmel Methodist Church in Clifton with Bobbie Martin officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery at Hardin County. She is survived by one daughter, Margie Lee Chappell of Columbia, Tenn.; and one son, Jamie Paul Evans of Grand Junction, Tenn.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Edith Patmore, Baxie Reeves and Ruby Wilson; and one brother, Connie Wilson.
