Courtney Anderson was born in Savannah, on April 3, 1994, the daughter of Timothy Austin Anderson and Regina Hope Weeks Anderson.
Courtney liked texting on her phone, working as a car-hop at Sonic, talking to friends on Facebook and My Space. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and enjoyed going on trips with the youth group. Courtney was a junior at Hardin County High School and loved spending time with her friends.
Courtney departed this life on Friday, Sept. 17, at the age of 16 years, 5 months, 14 days.
In addition to her parents, Courtney is survived by a brother, Christopher Blake Anderson of Savannah; two sisters, Cecilee Brooke Anderson and Laura Kathryn Anderson, both of Savannah; grandparents, Mary Inez Weeks-Yarbrough and husband Joe of Savannah, and Kathryn Anderson of Clifton; a special daddy, John W. Carter of Savannah; aunts and uncles, Billy V. Weeks Jr., Rosemary Adams, Lynn Anderson, Jeff Anderson and Dana Pevahouse; a special cousin, Dillon Weeks.
Courtney was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Billy V. Weeks Sr. and Rufus Anderson; great-grandparents, Richard and Etta Anderson, Barney and Edith Hill, Hubert and Estell Alexander, Charlie and Sellie Weeks.
Services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 22, at 3 p.m., at First Baptist Church in Savannah, with Ed Alexander, Stephen Childers officiating. Burial will follow in the Hollands Creek Cemetery at Savannah.
