Reubena Johnson (9-7-10) services 9-10-10

Reubena Johnson, 81, of Counce, died Tuesday, Sept. 7.

She was born in Lake, Miss., the daughter of the late Seldon Sr. and Lena Wood Welch. She was united in marriage to Elbert Wesley Johnson, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Pisgah United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and involved with Meals-on-Wheels.

Services were held on Friday, September 10, at Pisgah United Methodist Church in Shiloh with Dick Haley officiating. Burial was in the Pisgah Cemetery at Shiloh.

She is survived by two sons, Johnny and Dennis Johnson, both of Counce; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a brother, Seldon Welch Jr. of Counce; three sisters, Ilene Rice of Huntsville, Ala., Irene Locke and Gweneth Tuberville, both of Iuka, Miss.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Oliver and Tom Welch; five sisters, Evelyn Rice, Helen Lane, Arzie Long, Ora Foster and Ruth Faulkner.
