Pamela Carol Dixon, 55, of Savannah, died Thursday, Aug. 12.
She was born in Savannah, the daughter of the late James Howard and Mary Frances Graham Dixon.
Ms. Dixon was employed with Kroger in the Meat Department. She had also worked for H.I.S. in Saltillo and Angelica. She served as the president of the UFCW Local 1999G while at Angelica and a member while employed with Kroger. She was a member of the St. John Missionary Baptist Church.
Services were held on Tuesday, Aug. 17, at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Savannah, with Sam Edward Reeves Jr. officiating. Burial was in the Savannah Cemetery at Savannah.
She is survived by a daughter, Tomeka Cherry of Savannah; a grandchild; a sister, Janice Bumpous of Savannah; two brothers, James Howard Dixon Jr. and Anthony Dixon, all of Savannah, Tennessee.
