Jackie Sheets

Jackie Ray Sheets, 69, of Adamsville, died Sunday, Aug. 1.

He was born in Steele, Mo., the son of the late Chester and Mildred Sullins Sheets. He was united in marriage to Geneva Dickey, who survives.

Mr. Sheets was a self-employed plumber and electrician. He was also employed with Plastic Masters Inc. in New Buffalo, Mich. and also had worked for Chrysler Corporation in Michigan City, Ind. He was a member of New Hope Fellowship Church in Crump.

Services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 4, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, with Bill McCall officiating. Burial was in the Umphrey–Dickey Cemetery at Hardin County.

In addition to his wife, Geneva of Adamsville, he is survived by two daughters, Kathy West of Adamsville and Reagena Rootes of Adamsville; five sons, Larry, Jack Jr., Steve Sheets, all of Michigan City, Ind., Roger Sheets of Savannah, and Sam Sheets of Adamsville; 22 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; three brothers, Bill of Dallas, Texas, Chester Jr. of Morris Chapel and Larry Sheets of Michigan City, Ind.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Alma Wondergem; and two brothers, Joe and Jim Sheets.
