Tommy Ponds Tommy Dale Ponds, 73, of Duncan, Miss., died Saturday, July 24, at the VA Hospital in Jackson, Miss. He was born in Saltillo, the son of the late Charlie Ponds Jr. and Maggie May Crider Ponds McMullen. He was united in marriage to Pluemjit Ponds, who preceded her husband in death. Mr. Ponds retired after 23 years from the United States Air Force as a target and imagery intelligence technician. Services will be held on Thursday, July 29, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Eric Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery at Saltillo. He is survived by one brother, Bob G. Ponds of Brandon, Miss.; one niece and one nephew, and one great-nephew.
