Rosaline Glidewell

Rosaline K. Glidewell, of Counce, was born in McNairy County on Oct. 14, 1939, the daughter of the late William Lee and Sarah Ellen McClain Killingsworth.

On Aug. 9, 1977, she was united in marriage to Clyde Durell Glidewell, who survives.

Mrs. Glidewell had lived in McNairy County for 15 years and in Counce for 30 years. She was a member of The Truth Church in Corinth, Miss. She loved her children and family more than anything in this world, and told them every time she had a chance. Mrs. Glidewell opened her home and heart to anyone that came her way. She was a wonderful wife and was good to her family. Mrs. Glidewell loved to sing and had a wonderful voice, having recorded a single and sang with Tammy Wynette.

Mrs. Glidewell departed this life on Wednesday, July 14, at the age of 70 years, 9 months.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Sherry Lynn Putt and Veronica Kay Granger and husband Jeff, all of Stantonville, Tenn.; three stepsons, Durell Glidewell of Saulsbury, Tenn., David Glidewell and wife Pat of Corinth, Miss., and Tim Glidewell of Counce; a stepdaughter, Linda Harris and husband Roy of Kennesaw, Ga.; four grandchildren, Tiffany Sharee Putt, Michael Joseph Browder, Robert Cody Rhodes, and Sarah Elaine Granger; seven step-grandchildren, Chris Harris, Michael Harris, Cory Glidewell, Jeremy Glidewell, Jessica Glidewell, Derick Glidewell, and Dana Glession; two great-grandchildren, Bishope Stone Wilson and Gabreal Cain Wilson; 13 step great grandchildren; three sisters, Florine Tayler and Mary Lee McKee both of Corinth, Miss., Mattie Pearl Fair of Michie; a brother, W. Jacky Killingsworth of Shiloh.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Gorden Killingsworth.

Services were held on Friday, July 16, at 11 a.m., at Pisgah United Methodist Church in Shiloh with Milton Huggins officiating. Burial was in the Pisgah Cemetery at Shiloh.
