Blanche Marie White, born Oct. 1, 1921, a native of Savannah, and a former resident of Collierville, Tenn., passed away in Knoxville on Sunday, July 18.
She retired from the Brown Shoe Company in 1973, after nineteen years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William (Ken) Franks and Rena Franks; brothers Herbie Franks, Joe Franks, and Buster Franks; sisters Dellie Eaves and Evelyn Scott.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Dougal White; her brother Billy Franks and wife Georgie; her son Lon White and wife Kathy; granddaughter Lauren; granddaughter Lonisa and husband Jeremy; and great-grandson Adam J. White.
Receiving of family and friends was held Wednesday, July 21, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral home in Savannah, with a graveside service following at the Gillis Mills Cemetery at 1 p.m.
