Polly Jeter Polly Neil Jeter, 83, of Savannah, died Monday, July 5. She was born in Clifton, the daughter of the late John Thomas and Mary Jane "Mollie" Pevahouse Jeter. Ms. Jeter had worked for Sears in Memphis for 35 years and was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. Services were held on Thursday, July 8, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Eric Jones officiating. Burial was in the Prater’s Chapel Cemetery at Wayne County. She is survived by a sister, Ada Ruth Jeter of Clifton; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Paul, Jack and Ed Jeter; a sister, Ida Lou Jeter Prater; two half-brothers, Neal and Carl Jeter; two half-sisters, Minnie Lineberry and Ola Williams.
