Rayburn Fox

Rayburn Lee Fox, 66, of Adamsville, died Tuesday, June 8, in Jackson, Tenn.

He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Cecil Alexander and Lou Jean Higgins Fox. He was united in marriage to Barbara Stricklin, who survives.

Mr. Fox was owner of Fox’s Flea Market. He was also a timber cutter and he was Baptist in belief.

Services were held on Friday, June 11, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Jimmy McGee officiating. Burial was in the Hollands Creek Cemetery at Hardin County.

In addition to his wife, Barbara of Adamsville, he is survived two sons, Nickie Fox of Decatur, Ala. and Bobby Fox of Crump; three grandchildren; four sisters, Joyce Scott, Jane Jones and Jackie Davison, all of Savannah and Judy Balentine of Cypress Inn, Tenn.; three brothers, Jimmy, Ricky and Joey Fox, all of Savannah.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Stevie Fox; one brother, Hassell Fox; and one sister, Joan Boatwright.
