Larry Franks, 60, of Savannah, died Thursday, May 6, in Jackson, Tenn.
He was the son of the late Jamie and Willie Baugus Franks.
Mr. Franks was a first mate on a towboat. He had also worked at Clayton Homes and did logging and was a sawmill operator.
Services were held on Sunday, May 9, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Artie Rivers officiating. Burial was in the Franks Cemetery at Hardin County.
He is survived by one son, Donald Joe Franks of Clifton; three grandchildren; two brothers, Jimmy Franks and Rachel Franks, both of Savannah; two sisters, Reba Franks and Peggy Beckham, both of Savannah.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, David Earl Franks.
