Doty English

Doty Dee English, 77, of Elkmonth, Ala., died at his home on Thursday, March 4.

He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Lewis Harley and Cora Delia Umphrey English.

Mr. English moved to Michigan City, Ind. in the 1950s and married Jaynee English, who survives. In the early 1970s, he moved to Elkmont, Ala.

Graveside services were held Saturday, March 6, with burial in Limestone Memorial Gardens, Athens, Ala.

In addition to his wife Jaynee English of Elkmont, Ala., he is survived by two daughters, Connie Dollar of Athens, Ala. and Donna Domm of Carrrollton, Texas; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, one brother, L.H. English of Savannah, four sisters, Frankie Harrison and Kate Hosea of Savannah, Edith Walker of Clifton and Rachel Wyatt of Scotts Hill.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Oty Lee English and Orlando English; and one sister, Nell Polk.
