Funeral services for Mr. Aubrey Kelsie Wardlows, age 96, of Shiloh was conducted Wednesday, March 10, at 12 p.m., in the sanctuary of Crump Pentecostal Church in Crump with Brother Hannah officiating. Interment followed in Shady Grove Cemetery at Shiloh. Oakdale Funeral Home, Decatur County, was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Wardlow was born July 24, 1913, in McNairy County to the late Oris and Cam Cole Wardlow and passed away March 7, at HMC Health and Rehab in Savannah.

He was a World War II Veteran, and saw combat aboard the USS Mississippi and the USS Burleigh, APA-95, during the invasion of Okinawa, Japan.

He was preceded in death by two wives: Vera Wardlow, Lillie Wardlow; two sons, Henry Jones, J.M. Jones; two daughters, Doris Mason, Ruth Skinner; four brothers, Fred Wardlow, L.C. Wardlow, Gary Wardlow, Perry Wardlow.

Aubrey is survivored by three sons, Odell Jones of Manilla, Ark., Grady Jones (Regetta) of McCroy, Ark., Jessie Jones (Libby) of McCroy, Ark., Dennis Jones (Shyrlon) of McCroy, Ark.; three daughters: Mary Banks (Bobby) of Savannah, Darlene Turley of McCroy, Ark., Rosie Skinner (Jimmy) of Augusta, Ark.; one brother: F.G. Wardlow (Lillian) of Shiloh; one sister, Mary Winborn of Indianapolis, Ind.

Other survivors include numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a host of relatives and friends.
