Harold Parris (2-14-10)

Harold Parris, 86, of Hilton Head Island, S.C., died Sunday, Feb. 14, at his home.

He was born in Kennesaw, Ga., son of the late Warner and Ludie Benson Parris.

Mr. Parris was a retired executive and principal of Parris Manufacturing Company in Savannah, which manufactured Top Guns. He lived most of his adult life in Savannah before retiring to Hilton Head Island in 1982. He was a longtime resident and golf club member of Port Royal Plantation before moving to the Seabrook of Hilton Head Island in 2003. He was a WWII Veteran.

Final arrangements are pending for the inurnment at First Presbyterian Church, Hilton Head Island, S.C. The Island Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his son, Don Parris of Denver, Colo.; two grandchildren, a great -granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia R. Parris in 2003.
