Charles V. Smith, 72, of Savannah, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, in Savannah.
He was born in Somerville, Tenn., the son of the late Charlie and Velma Smith.
Mr. Smith was self-employed as a truck driver. He was a member of AARP and United Truck Drivers Association. He was of Baptist belief. He was a United States Air Force Veteran.
Burial was in Savannah Cemetery.
He is survived by two daughters, Lynne Smith Bell and Nancy Chapman; one son, Cliff Wade.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Laurie A. Dickey; and one son, Charles V Smith II.
