Ruth Hutton (1-28-10) services 2-1-10

Ruth Hutton, 83, of Savannah, died Thursday, Jan. 28.

She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late William Andy and Bett Wilkerson Pickens. She was united in marriage to Woodrow Hutton, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Hutton retired from Savannah Cleaners, where she was employed for 47 years as a presser. She was a member of the Savannah Church of Christ.

Services were held on Monday, Feb. 1, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Howard Rogers officiating. Burial was in the Savannah Cemetery.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia White of Savannah; a brother, Floyd Pickens of Glendale, Ariz.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Walker; two brothers, Ray and Clifford Pickens; a sister, Bobbie Mae Kelly.
