Marie Bryant (1-29-10) services 2-1-10

Marie Bryant, 85, of Counce, died Friday, Jan. 29, in Counce.

She was born in Kendrick, Miss., the daughter of the late Willie Bowen and Ollie Hindman Bowen. She was united in marriage to Oliver Bryant, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Bryant was a homemaker and a member of the Center Hill Baptist Church in Counce.

Services were held Monday, Feb. 1, at Center Hill Baptist Church with Terry Capshaw officiating. Burial was in Center Hill Cemetery.

She is survived by a daughter, Judy Hollins of Counce; a sister, Bernice Petty of Michie; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Freddie and James Jerry Bryant; a sister, Mozell Lamb; two brothers, Joe Lee and Lowell Bowen.
