Jean Lehnert (1-30-10) services 2-3-10

Jean Marie Lehnert, 74, of Savannah, died Saturday, Jan. 30.

She was born in Baltimore, Md., the daughter of the late Catherine Groin Fontz. She was united in marriage to George LeRoy Lehnert Sr., who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Lehnert was a sewing machine operator at Brown Shoe Company for 12 years. She was a member of the Waterloo Dulcimer Club and the Waterloo Senior Center, where she served as assistant manager.

Services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 3, at Shackelford Chapel with Larry Liles officiating. Burial was in the Lehnert Cemetery at Hardin County.

She is survived by a son, George Lehnert Jr. of Savannah; two daughters, Pam Austin of Savannah and Laura White of Bethel Springs; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Shands; and a brother, Michael Groin.
