Robert Hardin

Robert "Bear" Hardin, 75, of Savannah, died Monday, Jan. 11, at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah.

He was born in Missouri, the son of the late Harvey Delbert and Laura Brown Hardin.

Mr. Hardin retired after 20 years as a truck driver for the City of Savannah. He was a member of Sand Hill Pentecostal Church.

Services will be held today, Thursday, Jan. 14, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, with Larry Rich officiating. Burial will follow in the Russell’s Chapel Cemetery at Hardin County.

He is survived by his wife, Patty Hardin of Mayfield, Ky.; two daughters, Fay Stanfill and Barbara Hardin, both of Savannah; one son, Gerald Ray Hardin of Savannah; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by four sisters, Dorothy Biggs, Janice Clenney, Roby Lee and Flora Katherine Hardin; and three brothers, Tinion, Grady and Junior Hardin.
