Ersell Deward Forsythe, 88, of Adamsville, died Friday, Jan. 20, at Tri-County Convalescent Home, Adamsville.

Mr. Forsythe was retired from Caterpillar, Inc. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran. He was a member of Church of Christ Northwest in Peoria, Ill.

Services were held Monday, Jan. 23, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville with Phil Mitchell and Van Vansandt officiating. Burial followed in Pine Hill Memorial Garden, Adamsville.

He is survived by a daughter, Martha Aldaco of Roswell, N.M.; a step-daughter, Joyce Vandiver of Utah; a son, Jack Forsythe of Adamsville; a sister, Mary Sue Simpson of Florence, Ala.; two grandchildren and one great-grandson.
