William "Bill"Knight, 73, of Savannah, died Wednesday, Sept. 1, in Savannah.

He was born in Nashville, the son of the late William Morgan and Sarah Holden Knight.

Mr. Knight was a self-employed carpenter. He was a United States Army Veteran.

No services were held.

He is survived by one son, Chris Knight of Savannah; four daughters, Pam Key of Georgia, Diane, Debbie Broyles of Gulfport, Miss., and Beth Waller of Hampshire, Tenn.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Terry Knight of Memphis.

He was also preceded in death by one sister.
