Marvin Thurman Marvin Thurman, 52, of Savannah, died Saturday, May 1, in Savannah. He was born in Huntington, W.Va., the son of Ethel Damron and the late William A. Thurman. He was united in marriage to Rene Henry, who survives. Mr. Thurman was a cement mason with Power Construction Company. He had worked for Walsh Construction Company and Barrier Corporation. He was member of Local 502 Cement Masons in Bellwood, Ill. Services will be held today, Thursday, May 6, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Mark LaRue officiating. Burial will follow in the Memory Gardens at Savannah. In addition to his wife Rene, he is survived by his mother, Ethel Damron; a son, James A. Thurman of Villa Park, Ill.; two brothers, Jeff and John Thurman; three sisters, Cathy Gendvese, Debbie Kolander, Teresa Gedretis; two grandchildren.
